A brief History.

Welcome to The House of Progression. It all started about Ten years ago. Apart from those fine people at the CRS (Classic Rock Society) and a tiny handful of Valiant people in the North of England there was absolutely nowhere to go and see Live Progressive music specifically in London. So I decided to change all that. At the time I worked at the Peel in SW London so I had a Top Venue at my disposal. They needed an older crowd who could actually drink a beer, spirit, glass of wine whatever. The Peel has a reputation for puting on the biggest new bands on but the audience tends to be very young. What turned out was quite Selfish of me. I wanted to get as many bands that I loved to play live. The bands eventually got to know and trust me and The House of Progression became THE place to go for Progressive Live music. As soon as I got the artists I got the audience, not just from the UK but from all over the World.

The band I need to thank the most is Twelfth Night because after that now legendary show, the word spread leading to performances by, PENDRAGON ,FROST*, IT BITES, PALLAS (The House of Progression hosted the very last live show with ALAN REED, an end of an Era and the beginning of a new one with PAUL MACKIE) Alan Reed and Pallas have also returned many times with new albums. THE FUTURE? Well explore the site. The House of Progression has now expanded to include the following venues, THE PEEL (Original Location) THE BORDERLINE LONDON, THE SCALA LONDON, THE HIPPODROME KINGSTON FOR THE CELEBR8 .2 FEST.
